Investing in a carpet cleaner can be a considerable investment.  So you want to make sure that not only are you getting your money’s worth, but that the cleaner you are purchasing is easy for you to use and does the job.

Listed below are some questions to ask yourslef when looking at best carpet cleaner reviews…

How well does the machine clean the carpet?

Are there any carpets the cleaner does not do well?  Some cleaners may not do a good job on wool or dark colors for example.

Does the cleaner get the edges? That can be important, especially in doing stairs.

How heavy is the cleaner and is it easy to maneuver?

What method of cleaning does the cleaner employ? There are several different methods and individuals with allergies may prefer one over the other.

Are the instructions clear and easy to understand?  Do they include tips on the best way to use the cleaner to its full advantage?

If the cleaner uses a water based method, how much water does it hold? You don’t want to empty the drain tank every time you make one pass over the carpet.

What about old stains?  Do you need to pre-spot treat the stains or will the cleaner handle them during the regular cleaning process?

How does the cleaner deal with pet hair, dander and stains?

Are solutions for the cleaner easily obtained or can you use readily available cleaners? Are they overly expensive?
